Divas in the Studio is a edgy, humorous and visually appealing musical theatre performance where history meets the present day. Our Finnish divas Ida Aalberg and Aino Ackté speak their minds in the spotlight of a TV studio. The women talk about their careers and the problems they face in combining work and home life. The experiences are mirrored in the present day and in Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House, Nora's shocking decision to leave her family.

The interviewer is a younger woman of our time, a TV influencer, who mirrors the divas' experiences in today's world. In the first act of the performance, we follow the nerve-wracking preparation for the h-moment, while in the second act, the cameras roll and the live broadcast begins. The straight-laced divas sometimes speak in a snappy manner and, if necessary, get down to business.

Art historian and author Anna Kortelainen has built a script with comedic elements within a historical framework. The music for the performance, which utilizes many genres, has been composed by Olli Kortekangas. Set and costume design is by Elle Mikkola.

The stage will feature harpsichordist-actress Elina Mustonen (Ida Aalberg), opera singer Reetta Ristimäki (Aino Ackté), TV influencer musical actress Heljä Heikkinen, and pianist Anu Silvasti as studio director.
